Description
Spores supplied as spore prints on heavy foil. Packaged individually, and guaranteed clean and stable. Spore print size and density may vary based on species and variety. Origin: Oregon Coast, USA Often mistaken for the liberty cap (Psilocybe semilanceata) which grows in pastures and has a distinct umbo (nipple) on the cap. Psilocybe pelliculosa is a small weakly active psilocybe that grows on well-decayed conifer forest debris, in mulch, or in lignin rich soils. Found in mid fall to early winter throughout the Pacific Northwest and Northern California. The spore prints of this species were gathered from forest debris in an ugly clear cut near the Oregon coast. The last image shows the separable gelatinous pellicle. This feature is helpful in identifying Psilocybe pelliculosa and Psilocybe semilanceata from other similar looking mushrooms. * Spores intended for microscopy and taxonomy purposes only. Images provided for informational and educational reference only and originate from cultivators and labs outside the US.
