Psilocybe cubensis : Malabar Coast Spore Print
Description
Spores supplied as spore prints on heavy foil. Packaged individually, and guaranteed clean and stable. Spore print size and density may vary based on species and variety.
Habitat: Bovine, Equine Dung and Enriched Soils Strain Origin: Malabar Coast, India Cap: 50+ mm in diameter, broadly convex to plane at maturity. Yellowish brown maturing to yellow with a darker center. Surface dry with small remnants of universal veil on cap (spots). Flesh white soon bruising bluish green. Stem: 150 mm in length, yellowish. Flesh bruising bluish green where injured. Persistent membranous annulus (ring) from partial veil that stays tenaciously attached between cap and stem until the mushroom reaches full maturity. Even fully mature specimens may still have this veil attached. Gills: Attachment adnate to adnexed. Grayish coloration in young fruit bodies becoming somewhat darker at maturity. Spores: Dark purplish brown, subellipsoid on 4-spored basidia. This strain is a very poor spore depositor and as a result specimens are only available for microscopy use in spore syringe form. Our good friend, and ex-Canadian spore provider 3m made this new strain of Psilocybe cubensis available to us. Original collection specimens for this strain were secured from the Malabar Coast in India.
