Cordyceps militaris : Mushroom Culture Syringe

Material provided in sterile aqueous solution using 10cc BD Luer-Lok syringes. One 1.5in 16ga needle will be provided for each syringe.

Comments: Cordyceps militaris is found widely throughout the northern hemisphere and has a long and complex history of collection and use by humans for a variety of purposes. Entomopathogenic (eats insects) in its natural setting, this domesticated strain grows well on supplemented grain.

Colonization/Fruiting Temperatures: 65-75F/60-70F

Recipe for 4 Pint Jars:

• 1 cup wheat, rye berries, or brown rice
• 2 cups water
• 2 tsp sugar
• 1 tsp dry malt extract
• 1 tsp Nutritional Yeast
• 1/3 tsp Azomite Rock Dust

Put dry grains in the jars first. 1/4 cup per jar.
Mix all other dry ingredients with water until thoroughly mixed.
Add 1.2 cup of broth to each jar.
Close jars and cover lid, modified with filter for air exchange, with foil
Sterilize at 15psi for 90min

Special Requirements: Provide 12 hours of supplemental light during fruiting stage.
