It was domesticated and distributed through spore vendors as a “Mexican classic,” alongside Mazatapec (Mazatec), and quickly became popular due its vigorous growth, large fruit bodies, and heavy sporulation. Habitat: Bovine, Equine Dung and Enriched Soils Strain Origin: Oaxaca, Mexico Gills: Attachment adnate to adnexed. Grayish coloration in young fruit bodies becoming nearly black in maturity.
