Psilocybe cubensis : B+ Classic Spore Print
Description
|
Spores supplied as spore prints on heavy foil. Packaged individually, and guaranteed clean and stable. Spore print size and density may vary based on species and variety. Comments: The original B+ strain that was once claimed to be a warm fruiting strain of Psilocybe azurescens. The tendency of the veil to cling to the cap edge interferes with printing. The original B+ was introduced in 1998 by Mr. G. of Foggy Mountain Farms in Florida (now defunct). Workman acquired spores in 1999 from Herben at Herbal-Shaman.com (now defunct) who was working to provide spores for Mr. G before his fmfarms online shop was fully functional. Strain Origin: Revived from original stored spores from 1999 Habitat: Bovine, Equine Dung and Enriched Soils Climate: Subtropical
Description: Reddish-cinnamon caps, somewhat viscid, very thin and hollow yellow stems, membranous annulus that shreds and clings to the cap edge. The second flush has less of an issue with the clinging veil. Good to moderate spore production. Cap: 25-75 mm in diameter, hemispheric to convex expanding to broadly convex to nearly plane with age. Dark red maturing to golden brown. Surface viscid with apparent gelatinous layer when very wet, soon smooth from drying. Fine fibrillose veil remnants when young that soon disappear. Flesh white soon bruising bluish green. Stem: 150-200+ mm in length. Typically equal, sometimes slightly enlarged at base, sometimes contorted. Yellowish to buff with a reflective sheen, bruising bluish, hollow. Partial veil that shreds and clings to the cap edge. The second flush has less of an issue with the clinging veil. Good to moderate spore production.
