Description
Spores supplied as spore prints on heavy foil. Packaged individually, and guaranteed clean and stable. Spore print size and density may vary based on species and variety.
Habitat: Manure and enriched soils Origin: Westmoreland, Jamaica
Cap: Pins are yellow/brown and lighten to a grayish tan as they mature. Caps remain bell shape until very mature. Gills: Adnexed with 3 to 4 tiers of intermediate gills. Spores: Black in deposit. 4-spored basidium. Origin: Westmoreland, Jamaica
Comments: Originally collected by our team in the early 2000s in a sugar cane field near Little London, Jamaica. There are several similar species of Copelandia, most differing from each other only microscopically. The strains offered here are probably cyanescens, but they have not been identified with any certainty.
