MONTHLY FEATURE: Psilocybe cubensis : Jack Frost Spore Isolate Syringe

Comments: The Jack Frost variety of Psilocybe cubensis is a recently-developed cross between the original Albino Penis Envy and the TAT, or True Albino Teacher (a variety of Golden Teacher). It is vigorous, adaptable and disease-resistant. Dense and robust, the snow-white caps of Jack Frost are a visually striking at maturity.

Habitat: Bovine, Equine Dung and Enriched Soils
Climate: Subtropical

Strain Origin: Georgia, USA

Gills: Attachment adnate to adnexed. Grayish coloration in young fruit bodies becoming nearly black in maturity.

Spores: Dark purplish brown, subellipsoid on 4-spored basidia.

So, what exactly is an Isolate? In contrast to the multi-spore syringes (MS), which contain a wide variety of genetic material in tens of thousands of spores, our isolates (ISO) contain only one set of genes. This assures that it will perform consistently and uniformly in your research. In instances where genetic diversity is desired, we recommend our multi spore (MS) products. When predictability is preferred, isolates (ISO) are the best choice.
